Opportunity Snapshot

We are on the hunt for a seasoned Embedded Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) Team Lead to spearhead our client's team of adept Software Engineers based in Pune. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in Android application development, Android OS, Board Support Package (BSP), Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), Linux-based OS, and fluency in C/C++ and/or Java programming. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide technical direction to a team specializing in Embedded Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) Development
  • Champion the delivery of high-quality solutions within automotive, medical devices, and consumer electronics sectors.
  • Utilize extensive AOSP knowledge to design and implement Android-based solutions that meet client needs.
  • Keep abreast of AOSP updates and enforce best practices.
  • Oversee code reviews to maintain coding standards and Android OS expertise.
  • Cultivate a high-standard code quality culture and drive team process enhancements.
  • Assist in defining the technology roadmap aligned with strategic goals.
  • Innovate and optimize continuously.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement software development policies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders and cross-functional teams for project success.
  • Engage with customers to understand and meet their requirements.
  • Enhance the working environment for Software Engineers by providing essential tools and resources.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, team progress updates, and address challenges.
  • Support Software Engineer recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Ensure seamless project execution and delivery through coordination with project developers and management.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information and Communication Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years in embedded software development with 2+ years in a leadership capacity within a high-tech environment.
  • Expertise in Android development, AOSP, BSP, HAL, Linux OS, and C/C++ or Java programming.
  • Experience in continuous integration environments and familiarity with build systems like Yocto or Buildroot.
  • Proficiency in version control (SVN, GIT) and scripting (bash, python).
  • Agile methodology and object-oriented programming experience.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and international team experience.
  • Excellent communication and value-oriented interaction skills.
